The Lodge
A private house for exclusive use on the boundary of the Nilo Nature Forest Reserve, at 1,050 m altitude. Built to a standard well above other accommodation in the Usambara Mountains, with handmade furniture, western bathrooms and a terrace that looks straight into the forest canopy.

Living above the valley
One bedroom with a king-size bed, a living room with sofa bed, and a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom is the highlight: an open-air WC and shower that opens towards the forest.
The terrace of around 50 m², partly covered, is where most of the day happens. Monkeys and forest birds are regularly seen from the terrace itself.

Annex · 15 m²
A second bedroom with its own terrace
The annex is a separate building with a double bed and a private terrace of around 16 m², enclosed on three sides. It shares the garden with a pavilion, a pond and a fire pit for evenings under the stars.
The main house takes up to four guests and the annex two, so the property sleeps up to six. That suits families, small birding groups and couples travelling together.
Practical details
Board
Bed and breakfast, half board or full board. Meals are prepared at the lodge from local produce and the farm's own spices. Water and soft drinks are included, alcohol on request.
Power and connectivity
Grid electricity with solar backup. Internet is available at the lodge. Mobile coverage in the forest is limited.
